They say the best therapy is to take a break from routine and at Duma Manzi, we can’t agree more. We want your stay with us to be out of this world, so we planned a little something special, just in case you were in the mood for some Vitamin D.
Down by the river is a little spot where you will be welcomed to a cozy picnic blanket and a basket filled with hearty delights. All of this while listening to the soundtrack of nature playing in the background, will make this experience exceptional!
You will be guided by one of our trusted game rangers as you take a refreshing stroll down to the riverside. Learning a little about the history of Duma Manzi and hearing the songs of over 350 spotted bird species as you go.
The scene is set right next to the beautiful uMkhomazi river where you will see all kinds of wild life pass by. Staring down at you are the majestic siliciclastic Sandstone Cliffs, red and towering over the valley, creating a calmness that one cannot explain, but simply experience. Here you will spend a lovely afternoon staring at clear blue skies and surrounded by lush greenery as you and your loved ones enjoy an intimate and personal setup in nature.
Want to make this day eternal? There is the option of a private photographer who will capture your moments by the river before leaving you to enjoy your time in complete privacy.
When you are ready to leave, our game ranger, who will be waiting for you in a designated area, will guide you back to the lodge where you can enjoy some more drinks at the bar or take it easy in your beautiful room.
We have made sure that this experience will leave you with a tummy full of yummy to one’s hearts content and precious moments that cannot be replaced. The only thing missing in our picnic basket is you!
