Welcome to Duma Manzi Lodge. By accessing and using our website, booking our accommodation, or engaging with our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please review them carefully.

1. General Information

• Duma Manzi Lodges (Proprietary) Limited, referred to as “Duma Manzi Lodge” or “we” or “us” or “our,” is a private limited liability company registered in South Africa, operating accommodation and hospitality services at Duma Manzi Lodges and its subsidiaries.
• Our registered office is located at D60 Richmond Road, Richmond, Kwa-Zulu Natal, 3780, Republic of South Africa.

2. Booking and Payment Terms

• All bookings are subject to availability and will only be confirmed upon receipt of a deposit.
• A deposit, as specified during the booking process, must be paid to secure your reservation.
• The balance of the payment must be made according to the payment terms provided at the time of booking.
• We reserve the right to cancel any booking where the payment terms are not met.

3. Cancellation Policy

• Please refer to our Refund and Cancellation Policy for specific terms regarding cancellations and refunds. Cancellations must be made in writing and sent to hello@dumamanzi.com.
• For weddings and events booked at The Glass Barn or Duma Manzi Lodge, the cancellation terms are governed by the relevant Event and Wedding Contract.

4. Check-in and Check-out

• Check-in time is from 14:00 on the day of arrival, and check-out time is by 10:00 on the day of departure.
• Early check-in or late check-out requests are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.
• Identification may be requested upon check-in for security and verification purposes.

5. Guest Conduct

• Guests are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful and responsible manner while at the lodge. This includes respecting the property, staff, and other guests.
• Duma Manzi Lodge reserves the right to ask any guest to leave without refund should they fail to comply with these standards or engage in disruptive, inappropriate, or illegal behavior.

6. Damage to Property

• Guests are responsible for any damage caused to the property, facilities, or furnishings during their stay. Duma Manzi Lodge reserves the right to charge guests for any repair or replacement costs arising from damage or loss caused by the guest.

7. Liability

• While we take all necessary precautions to ensure the safety and security of our guests, Duma Manzi Lodge will not be held liable for any injury, loss, or damage to guests’ property during their stay unless caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct.
• Guests are responsible for the safekeeping of their personal belongings. We recommend securing valuables in the provided safe or with lodge management.

8. Privacy and Data Protection

• Duma Manzi Lodge values your privacy and handles all personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By booking with us or using our website, you consent to the processing of your personal data as outlined in the Privacy Policy.

9. Third-Party Services

• Duma Manzi Lodge may provide links to third-party websites or services. We do not endorse or accept any responsibility for the content, products, or services provided by such third parties. Any use of third-party websites is done at the guest’s own risk.
• Any bookings or agreements with third-party services (e.g., tours, activities) are subject to the terms and conditions of those third parties.

10. Force Majeure

• Duma Manzi Lodge will not be liable for any failure or delay in performing any obligations where such failure or delay is due to causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions, or acts of God.

11. Weddings and Event Bookings

• Weddings and event bookings at Duma Manzi Lodge and The Glass Barn are subject to the terms and conditions outlined in the relevant Event and Wedding Contract. Guests are required to review and agree to the terms specified in these contracts prior to confirming bookings.

12. Intellectual Property

• All content, trademarks, logos, images, and text on the Duma Manzi Lodge website are the property of Duma Manzi Lodge and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Unauthorized use, reproduction, or distribution of any materials on our website is prohibited.

13. Amendments to Terms and Conditions

• Duma Manzi Lodge reserves the right to amend or update these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be posted on our website, and it is the responsibility of the guest to review the terms and conditions regularly.

14. Governing Law

• These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising from or relating to these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.
